Our son Aryan was diagnosed with autism at 3.5 years old. As he approached the end of his primary years at an international school, we knew the traditional secondary route wouldn’t suit his needs. We wanted more than just survival in the system—we wanted him to truly learn, grow, and enjoy the process. Finding Aegis was a turning point. Since joining, Aryan looks forward to learning each day. The difference has been remarkable. He’s especially passionate about Science and Math, and under the dedicated guidance of Teacher Erisha, his understanding and confidence in both subjects have grown tremendously. These days, when he’s bored, you’ll often find him solving math problems just for fun. Beyond academics, Aryan has also made meaningful progress in daily living skills, thanks to the patient and practical approach of Teacher Radhi. This balance of academic support and life skills is exactly what we hoped for in a learning environment. For me, I was pleasantly surprised that he can do his assessments at Aegis as compared to his previous school, which I think the previous school environment wasn’t suitable for Aryan without a proper support system. I’m actually quite happy that my wife discovered Aegis before I knew its existence in order to give Aryan the best possible support to help him succeed not just academically, but also life skills. If I have further resources, I may also plan for his brother to join Aegis next year if it will work out.
